In March 2005 Mike and Paul bought The Best Western Queens Hotel and The Lovat in Perth and set about transforming these two already popular hotels into something quite special and unique. Through many months of hard work and dedication from both directors with strong support from their enthusiastic teams of professionals both hotels soon became two of Perth’s premier choices for business, leisure and pleasure.
In early 2005 the famous 1747 historic restaurant within The Lovat Hotel underwent a complete refurbishment to the delight of its customers and to this day never ceases to surprise it’s regular guests and newcomers with ever more imaginative and creative dishes. All conference and function facilities within both hotels were given a new lease of life and brought right up to date now offering clients the very best in conferencing in comfort and style surrounded by modern facilities complete with first class service. In December 2005 and with Symphony’s first New Year fast approaching, Christmas season began and couldn’t have been any more successful! The range of dinner dances, festive fayre menus, quality entertainment, tribute nights went down a treat, setting the foundations that now make Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd first choice for business and pleasure amongst companies and groups when it comes to organising that famous and inevitable Christmas office party or family gathering. Earlier this year in June 2006 Symphony expanded further and purchased the beautiful Craw's Nest in the coastal town of Anstruther. The hotel itself is set in spectacular grounds and is an asset to the company already boasting banqueting facilities for up to a very impressive 350 guests! Mike and Paul strive to take Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd even further and despite the quick expansion the company has never forgot the basic principals of honest hospitality which is clearly evident throughout in all three outlets. The quality of service, the high standards, the personal and friendly service, the dedicated teams and above all the clear enjoyment and love of the trade are now the trademarks of Symphony which has made Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd what it is today and gives an insight into what it will be in the future. |

Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd is a relatively new company that is owned and operated by Mike Sheffield and Paul Shields. Two distinguished gentlemen who between them have an extraordinary wealth of experience in the hospitality trade and who embarked on a journey which lead to the formation and expansion of Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd. Mike and Paul are delighted to have become part of the friendly Perth community and their vision has always been to take Symphony Hotels and Leisure Ltd into the future with emphasis on excelling in customer care, facilities and quality entertainment. 
The Best Western Queens Hotel is the only hotel in Perth to boast a modern leisure club and heated swimming pool, with fully qualified gym instructor. This can be enjoyed by all guests to Symphony Hotel and Leisure Establishments.
